A Wedding

Meet our friends, Philipson and Kelsea.

We have been fortunate enough to work with Philipson for about 3 years. The working includes: singing, dancing, building catchment tanks, training people, sharing the Love of God, watching movies on our laptops, having heart to hearts about reconciliation, living together, eating together, fellowshipping together, teaching others about sanitation…you get the gist.

We have been blown away at the leader and person Philipson is and has become. He is truly a one-of-a-kind man and we always wondered who would capture his heart.

Enter Kelsea. What a gem of a lady. She loves Haiti and people as much as anyone can. We have totally enjoyed getting to know her.

So, it was a treat to be asked to be the King and Queen of the wedding! While there were some tweaks to this Haitian tradition, we were able to celebrate with them as we welcomed them into marriage by them entering in through a banner. What a cool tradition.

The wedding is not one we will forget! There were curlers, hairspray and dresses…photographs, suits and ties. There was also a torrential downpour, a beautiful Haitian song and traditional Haitian food. Ah, Haiti.
